Tree & Shrub Fall Checklist – Helping to prepare your landscape for the season ahead

Deep-Root Fertilization

Proper Care of your trees and shrubs has a tremendous, long-term payoff and deep-root fertilization is an integral part of that. By injecting fertilizers and other soil enhancers directly into the root zone, nutrients lost over the summer are quickly absorbed giving your trees and shrubs the nutrients they need to get through the dormant, winter season.

Winter Tree Watering with Yucca Extract

It’s important for trees and shrubs to get moisture through the winter. With Yucca extracts, trees and shrubs are able to utilize water in times of low moisture and stimulate healthy microbial activity. Fit Turf offers a 4-step program that resumes in the fall.

Insect & Disease Sprays

If you see anything unusual with your trees and shrubs or want to be proactive in avoiding potential damage, you should consider scheduling Fit Turf’s Fit Tree and Shrub Care Program. This program continues through the fall, so there is still time to schedule 1 or 2 treatments!

Winterguard Anti-Desiccant Coating

Wind and sun can drain moisture out of our trees during the winter that can’t be replenished when the ground is frozen. Winter burn can occur, leaving a permanent, dried out foliage. A fall anti-desiccant spray can reduce the effects of winter burn by applying a waxy coating to the needles of your evergreens. Fit Turf offers a Winterguard anti-desiccant application to help prevent winter burn.
